Kevin Mok - Founder / Director

Kevin is the founder of KMok Consulting Limited. Born in Hong Kong, raised and educated in New York, Kevin has more than 17 years of experience working with clients across the United States, United Kingdom, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Japan on high-end hospitality, F&B, residential, workspace, retail and commercial design projects. He began his career as an architect before he transitioned to interior design and project management eight years later. Kevin’s myriad of solid experience in the industry is proven with his strong track record across North America and South East Asia.

Kevin holds a Bachelor degree in Architecture from Pratt Institute, School of Architecture in New York. He is a member of the American Institute of Architect - Hong Kong Chapter, and is certified with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards in the United States. Kevin is a Registered Architect within the State of New York and is a LEED Accredited Professional specializing in Building Design and Construction. While based in New York, Kevin worked on a number of high profile projects, including the Mondrian Soho Hotel and the Shanghai Port International Cruise Ship Terminal.

With a professional, efficient and client-centered approach to project management, Kevin has proven himself as an invaluable asset to many design professionals that he consults for. He has gained respect in the industry with his strong management skills and personable approach.

Provide day to day management of consultants, including project teams and external parties, architects, designers, contractors and suppliers to ensure delivering projects successfully to Clients with outstanding project close outs
Manage preparation and execution of tender documents and tendering process for design related consultants
Establish and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
Review deliverables prepared by consultants, design and operation brief and conduct feasibility studies of project scope
Provide technical and services advice, review design planning and documentation
Monitor and maintain the project program with timely deliverables
Confidently express design opinions and recommendations with a variety of stakeholders

Project Management Consultancy Services for Design Projects

Collaborate with Design Teams/Owners/Other Consultants from project inception to completion
Fee proposal/contract composition, negotiation, realization and administration
Ensure alignment between Client’s project vision and design intent
Consistently plan, manage Design Team resources, project deliverables and monitor progress against project vision, budget and schedule
Attend and participate in major design milestone presentations and regular project meetings
Assist in, conduct, review, assess, and make recommendations during fit-out tendering
Perform overall quality control and assurance for project deliverance
Attend regular site meetings for coordination
Advise on practical completion and necessary remedial works

Project/Construction Management Consultancy Services for Design & Build Projects

Define a clear project vision, constraints, timeline and budget with the Client, Design Team and Construction Counterparts and align design intent from project inception to completion
Prepare, propose and align project budgets and schedules
Advise on budget feasibility against project vision, perform and suggest necessary value-engineering as required
Administer preparation and submission of design material and material samples for the Client’s approval
Design & Build proposal/contract composition, negotiation, realization and administration
Administer and coordinate necessary applications, submissions and approvals
Perform overall quality control and assurance for project deliverance
Actively monitor and consistently control project budgets and schedules, minimize variations
Coordinate necessary builder’s works/building services works to suit the proposed fit-out works
Attend regular site meetings for coordination
Advise on practical completion, preparation of defects schedule and supervision of rectification works
Final inspection before the expiration of the defects liability period
